Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Crisis Intervention Clinician to provide timely behavioral health assessments in the Emergency Department and Psychiatry settings. You will perform crisis assessments, develop disposition plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients, families, and the community.

In inpatient settings you will conduct individual, group, and family counseling as part of a robust care team, document thoroughly, and participate in ongoing quality improvement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• DC licensure (LICSW/LGSW/LPC/LGPC) required or eligible.
• Experience in behavioral health crisis assessment and counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health assessments for crisis/urgent psychiatric needs.
• Communicate findings and disposition plans to ED and psychiatry teams.
• Complete psychosocial evaluations and treatment documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning and provide counseling as appropriate.
• Support discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives.
