Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Environmental Service Technician II for Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This evening, per diem position involves patient room and ancillary area cleaning per standards, including isolation/terminal cleaning of rooms and equipment.

You will work under the Environmental Services Manager, performing daily cleaning, waste disposal, and repairs support to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to utilize proper body mechanics in order to safely carry out above tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, performs patient room and ancillary area daily cleaning per departmental and corporate standards.
• Performs daily and terminal cleaning, replenishes supplies and reports necessary repairs of all patient care and ancillary areas to ensure a safe, sanitary and attractive environment.
• Collects, transports, processes and disposes of all type of regular, hazardous and medical waste following established policies and procedures.
• Extracts and spin cleans carpets, washes walls, ceilings, lights, and refinishes floors; shampoos upholstered furniture; performs other project cleaning as needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned according to the demands of the department.
