Job summary

CHS Career Site Environmental Service Worker I is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing cleaning, floor care, and waste management tasks in patient areas, following infection control and HIPAA protocols. Scheduling includes 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, part-time with PRN as needed.

The role requires cleanliness standards, equipment operation, restocking supplies, and adherence to safety policies to support patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas following infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment.
• Maintain floors and upholstery per procedures.
• Wash walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, doors and related surfaces.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory.
• Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely per HIPAA protocols.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment effectively, reporting malfunctions.
• Assist with minor repairs and report larger facility issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with policies and standards.
