Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I for night shifts to keep patient areas clean and safe. You will sanitize rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas while following infection control protocols and HIPAA-related safety measures.

You will use cleaning equipment properly, monitor supplies, and assist with minor maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or environmental service preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas ensuring infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment.
• Maintain floors and surfaces through basic maintenance and care.
• Wipe walls, windows, and other surfaces to keep areas hygienic.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory for shortages.
• Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely per protocols.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and report malfunctions.
• Assist with minor repairs and report larger facility issues.
• Work as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
