Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Services Tech I for the evening shift (3-11 PM). You will maintain clean, sanitary environments in patient rooms, hallways, and common areas while following safety and infection-prevention guidelines.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, scrubbing, waste handling, spills response, and collaboration with teammates to meet daily sanitation goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent, or 1 year housekeeping/ESD experience in lieu of high school.
• Previous housekeeping/custodial experience preferred.
• Required: strong communication, reading comprehension, service orientation, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing as needed.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collect, handle, and dispose of waste per regulations.
• Respond promptly to spills and cleaning requests; support team goals.
