Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking a Full-time Environmental Services Technician I for the Evening shift (3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.), with every other weekend. You will clean patient rooms, hallways, and common areas, use proper cleaning chemicals, and ensure waste handling complies with regulatory standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork and patient-friendly service in a hospital setting. 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience is preferred or a high school diploma/equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience or a high school diploma/equivalent.
• Experience in patient room, hallway and common area cleaning is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and infection prevention guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Dust, mop, scrub and polish as required in patient rooms and halls.
• Handle and dispose of waste according to regulations.
• Respond promptly to spills and urgent cleaning needs.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily sanitation goals.
• Follow infection prevention standards and safety procedures.
