Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking Environmental Service Associates to maintain patient rooms, public areas and service spaces, performing tasks that support hospital operations and patient comfort through consistent cleaning and organization. The role requires following safety procedures, using equipment correctly, stocking carts, and providing courteous customer service to patients, visitors and staff.

Evening shift with scheduled 40 hours per week in the Environmental Services department; no degree

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school.

Responsibilities

• Obtains cleaning or maintenance requests from system, daily assignment sheet or verbal direction.
• Performs cleaning and moves beds or furniture as required to service customers.
• Notifies appropriate area through work order process and other paperwork to track equipment and supplies.
• Keeps all carts and areas stocked to appropriate levels; linen distribution included.
• Provides high level customer service to patients and other customers.
