Job summary

Sanford Health Bemidji Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role covers patient rooms and common areas with duties including waste disposal, floor care, and polishing surfaces on an evening, part-time schedule (20 hours per week).

Responsibilities include following infection control guidelines, using PPE, and assisting in laundry as needed.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required.
• Annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility.
• General day-to-day housekeeping tasks in each department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as waste removal, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors in patient rooms, lobbies, restrooms and common areas.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and use Sanford technology applications when available.
• Wear PPE as required and keep storage and equipment tidy.
