Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital seeks an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead and train staff in cleaning and linen services. You will evaluate staff, implement policies, and coordinate daily operations to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 years of leadership experience in a hospital service department, with strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years leadership experience in a service department (hospital setting preferred).
• Good supervisory skills in scheduling, planning, evaluating, training and coaching Environmental Services Associates.
• Good skills in identifying and resolving conflicts constructively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Inspects work in progress and upon completion for quality and timeliness of completion.
• Observes Environmental Services and Linen associates performing tasks to evaluate competence.
• Conducts new associate training and department orientation.
• Implements department policies and procedures and supports new initiatives.
• Ensures staff assignments are completed and deadlines are met.
• Manages staff scheduling and ensures timely cleaning for patient admissions/transfers/treatment.
