Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to coordinate daily housekeeping operations within our hospital environment. You will oversee staff, schedule work, and ensure adherence to safety standards and our Service Excellence commitments.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hospital or similar setting, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience. On-call duties may apply. St.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hospital or institutional setting.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews prospective Environmental Services aides and makes selection for hire.
• Evaluates Environmental Services aides for work quality, quantity and performance of work schedule, making adjustments when needed to insure consistent quality cleaning.
• Administers annual performance evaluations for Environmental Services aides.
• Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
• Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
• Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
• Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
• Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.
• Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
• Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
