Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to ensure a clean, safe facility across patient care areas and administrative spaces in California. The role includes collecting bio waste, distributing linen, maintaining floors, and performing housekeeping tasks to support overall hospital operations.

The position demands physical ability (lift 75 lbs, push 750 lbs) and strict adherence to cleaning standards and infection control, with weekend/on-call considerations and a shift from 3

Qualifications

• Experience with stripping, waxing, buffing floors according to AORN and Practice Guidelines.
• Experience with floor scrubber/buffing equipment.
• Current CA driver’s license (PM shift only) within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collect bio waste and trash throughout the facility.
• Dispose of in proper receptacles.
• Collect and distribute linen.
• Maintain and clean floors according to organizational standards and following assigned schedule.
• Move and relocate patient beds.
• Move furniture, boxes, desks, supplies, and other equipment as assigned.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas according to TCMC standards.
• Maintain a safe environment at all times.
• Understand the role and responsibilities in the event of a disaster.
