Job summary

Urgent Pet Care in Omaha, NE is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to greet clients and assist families during emergencies. You’ll check in pets, communicate updates, and coordinate records and payments while supporting the medical team with calm, compassionate service.

You will work evenings and weekends, providing empathetic, reliable care to clients and their hospitalized pets. Join a close-knit team dedicated to compassionate emergency veterinary care.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service; veterinary or medical background is a bonus but not required as training is provided.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays because emergencies don’t keep office hours.
• Someone who truly loves helping people and understands how much pets mean to their families.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills—you can stay calm and focused even when things get hectic.
• Highly organized and possess computer skills.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients with kindness and empathy, whether in person or on the phone.
• Helping worried pet parents check in quickly and smoothly.
• Keeping clients updated about their pets while they’re in our care.
• Managing records, payments, and paperwork with attention to detail.
• Working closely with our medical team to ensure clear and timely communication.
• Offering support to families who may be scared, anxious, or overwhelmed.
