Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Plainfield, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the Evening shift (3:00pm–3:30am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Full-time, 36 hours/week. Requires a BSN or higher; IL RN license and CPR.

ACLS and PALS within 3 months; NIHSS within 3 months. You will assess patients, provide care per policy, document observations, and collaborate with the ED team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN, must obtain BSN within five years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure required.
• CPR certification at time of hire; ACLS and PALS within three months of start date; NIHSS within three months.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patients, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care.
• Monitor progress and document pertinent observations.
• Delegate care tasks to other staff as appropriate.
• Collaborate with ED team to achieve unit goals.
