Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking an evenings shift maintenance mechanic to repair and install advanced production equipment. You will inspect equipment for proper functioning, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose malfunctions while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Must have own hand tools and be able to work near heat, noise, and chemicals; weekend/holiday work may be required. Strong reading of schematics and manuals, plus problem solving, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Experience with basic electrical systems
• Experience with electrical installation and troubleshooting
• Experience with product manuals and applying knowledge to make repairs
• Experience with reading electrical schematics
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and diagnostics
• Must be able to read, write and speak English due to safety sensitivity

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on advanced production equipment
• Repair and install production equipment as needed
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform complex repairs
• Mentor or support less experienced mechanics
• Oversee or perform general housekeeping
• Direct activities of outside contractors on the line
• Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards
• Document work schedules and tasks completed
