Job summary

The role requires work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals, with lifting and physical activity such as bending and kneeling. Weekend/holiday work may be required; hand tools are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
• Experience with electrical installation and frequency drives
• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to repairs)
• Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing)
• Experience with troubleshooting (diagnostics, problem solving)
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Mentoring less experienced mechanics (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on advanced production equipment
• Perform repairs on advanced production equipment as needed
• Perform breakdown analysis
• Upgrade production lines with new/upgraded equipment/technology
• Direct activities of outside contractors on the line
• Change line for packaging changeovers
• Enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards
• Work independently under limited supervision
• Documentation of work schedule and tasks completed
