Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted and may be required per state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Dedication and passion for serving seniors with excellent customer service.
• Ability to make choices in the resident's best interest.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must not appear on TennCare terminated provider list.
• Must not appear on state/national registries (abuse, sexual offender, felony, ICOTS, OIG/LEIE, SAM).
• Must possess a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, toileting, grooming, and personal hygiene tasks.
• Perform household duties including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and other tasks.
• Provide companionship through social interaction, conversation, emotional reassurance, and mind-stimulating activities.
• Prepare and maintain records of resident progress and services performed.
• Report changes in a resident's condition to the manager or supervisor.
• Complete and maintain accurate records of daily activities and direct hours of service.
• Attend in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
