Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island seeks an Education Supervisor - PM to oversee the evening Adult Education and ESL program, ensuring high‑quality instruction and positive student outcomes. The role provides coaching, classroom observations, and professional development to instructors while ensuring compliance with Adult Education standards.

You will manage substitute coverage, review instructional documentation, monitor attendance for grants, and prepare administrative reports.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or instructional leadership experience in Adult Education or ESL.
• Experience with immigrant, refugee, or multilingual adult learners preferred.
• Ability to teach and supervise across blended, online, and classroom modalities.
• Strong leadership to mentor, coach and support instructors.

Responsabilidades

• Provide onsite supervision for the evening Adult Education and ESL instructors (Mon–Thu, 5:30 PM–9:30 PM).
• Ensure delivery of high‑quality instruction aligned with standards and outcomes.
• Coordinate substitutes or serve as substitute instructor when needed.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate teacher professional development sessions.
• Review instructor documentation (syllabi, lesson plans, innovations, stories).
• Monitor attendance tracking and reporting for grant compliance.
• Prepare and review admin reports related to payroll, grants, and PD.
• Support instructors in addressing student concerns and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Participate in Leader on Duty for emergencies and building operations.
