RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated ED Technician for Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. This role supports the Emergency Department under RN supervision, providing essential patient care, safety checks, and accurate handoffs as part of a fast-paced team.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and strong communication skills. Evening shifts require multitasking and teamwork to ensure quality patient outcomes across age groups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Preferred completion of NA/CNA/PCA/EMT or related clinical program is a plus.
• Good communication skills; knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs selected patient care activities under the direction/supervision of the RN.
• Provides patient care appropriate to the patient age and service area.
• Maintains effective communication with patients and nursing staff regarding care status.
• Contributes to the care plan from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.
• Reports safety issues such as hazards or medical errors promptly.
