Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the Emergency Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full‑time evening shift position that supports RNs and helps ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a safe environment, collecting specimens, monitoring input/output, and EMR documentation under RN supervision. EMT or CNA licensure is required; BLS is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma.
• Associate of Arts/Science preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in Emergency Department with patient care and daily needs.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Collect lab specimens.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Document in the electronic medical record.
• Work under the supervision of an RN to support ED operations.
