Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time evening shift role assists Registered Nurses in the ED with patient care and daily healthcare needs, including ADL support, safe environment maintenance, lab specimen collection, and EMR documentation.

RNs supervise the ED Technician to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Assists RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs.
• Supports activities of daily living and maintains a safe patient environment.
• Collects lab specimens, monitors intake and output, and documents in the EMR.
• Works under the supervision of an RN to ensure quality patient care and efficient ED operations.
• Licensed EMT or CNA is required.
• Patient care experience is preferred.
• AA/AS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in the ED with patient care.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Collect lab specimens.
• Document in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
