Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The ED provides acute care with 24/7 imaging support including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound, and MRI availability most of the day.

RNs are expected to triage, assess, treat, and document care for patients with complex needs. The role requires a BSN and Massachusetts RN licensure, with BLS and ACLS mandatory; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN is required for the role.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required before end of orientation.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Emergency Department experience is strongly preferred.
• Telemetry experience of 2 years is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to demonstrate observational skills and to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, treat, and document patient care in the ED.
• Provide immediate acute care to patients in a 29-bed ED.
• XRays, CTs, ultrasounds are available 24 hours a day; MRIs most of the day.
• Follow the Patient and Family Centered Care Model and adhere to Nursing Standards of Care.
