Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital ED in Jamaica Plain, MA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the evening schedule. The ED team provides acute care with access to XRays, CTs and MRI, and supports a Primary Stroke Center environment.

Requirements include a BSN and MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS (prior to orientation), and preferably PALS. ED and telemetry experience strongly preferred; excellent communication and prioritization skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS.
• PALS preferred.
• ED experience strongly preferred.
• 2 years’ telemetry experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
• Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, treat and document care in the ED.
• Provide immediate acute care to patients.
• Utilize 29 ED beds with 24-hour imaging and MRI access.
• Ensure Patient and Family Centered Care Model is practiced.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and other teams to deliver quality care.
