Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA. This part-time evening role offers the opportunity to deliver highly professional nursing care in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in MA with at least 2 years of ED experience and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and CPI within the first year. CEN/CCRN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Other Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in Massachusetts required; ACLS, PALS, and CPI within first year; CEN or CCRN preferred.

Responsabilités

• Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
• Individualize care based on assessments and in collaboration with the patient/family.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care and physicians’ orders.
• Evaluate patient/family responses to established goals and revise the plan of care.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Provide safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Advocate for the patient and ensure their rights and responsibilities are communicated.
