Job summary

The Learning Experience in Newbury Park is hiring qualified teachers to support the learning and development of infants, toddlers, preschool, and/or Pre-K children. The Teacher implements curriculum, maintains a safe and engaging classroom, communicates with families, and mentors Assistant Teachers.

Responsibilities include leading daily classroom operations, planning activities, tracking assessments, and ensuring adherence to licensing and safety standards, while fostering strong family

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills required.
• Must meet state licensing, background screening, health, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
• Plan age-appropriate learning and play experiences.
• Support children's social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Encourage curiosity, independence, communication, and confidence.
• Lead daily operation of the classroom and organize activities and routines.
• Maintain lesson plans, observations, assessments, and records.
• Guide and support Assistant Teachers and collaborate with families.
