Job summary
Bridgewell is looking for a Direct Support Professional in Peabody, Massachusetts, to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities. Responsibilities include skills training in daily living activities, maintaining documentation, and ensuring the well-being of those served. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED or at least 5 + years of verified experience in the same position is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in daily living activities.
Create opportunities for decisions, to develop skills, and foster independence.
Maintain daily progress notes and other required documentation.
Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy
Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van
Education
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of verified experience in a similar position
1+ year working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities
