Job summary

Arlington Public Schools’ REEP program seeks an Hourly Instructional Assistant for Digital Literacy to support adult English learners in Arlington, VA during evening sessions. You will assist teachers with technology-enabled lessons, maintain devices, and help learners navigate laptops and online tools.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic tech issues, managing technology inventory, and providing patient, friendly customer service to multilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Work authorization in the United States, plus 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• College coursework or an associate degree (preferred).
• Ability to work patiently with adult multilingual learners.
• Patient, friendly, clear communication with strong customer service.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Flexible, approachable demeanor; fluency in a second language (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with digital literacy activities and technology-enhanced lessons.
• Support adult English learners as they practice using devices and online tools.
• Maintain charging carts and organize classroom technology.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
• Help manage technology inventory and organization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
