St. Paul’s Assisted Living in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals, ensuring dietary needs are met with care. This role supports residents’ health through proper nutrition and teamwork with staff.

The position is part-time with an evening shift (3:00pm - 7:00pm). Prior food service experience is preferred, and applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work well in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Healthcare or assisted living experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, sanitation, and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation according to dietary plans and resident preferences.
• Serve meals to residents in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ensure proper portion control and adherence to dietary requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with stocking and inventory of food supplies.
• Communicate dietary concerns to the dietary manager.
• Follow safety and food handling regulations.
• Participate in in-service training and staff meetings.
