Miller Transportation Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic Technician for the Miller Truck Leasing division in Brewster, NY. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for a range of Class 1–8 vehicles.

Candidates should have prior fleet or diesel mechanic experience and a valid CDL or be able to obtain one with our trainer. Benefits include paid time off and comprehensive health plans, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
• Valid CDL or ability to obtain with trainer.
• Must have hand tools.
• Experience with refrigeration units (ThermoKing) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
• Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes following warranty procedures.
• Repair/Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments.
• Replace clutches and transmissions.
