Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved US Department of Education Ultrasound/Imaging program.
• RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN required.
• Current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment.
• New graduates not RDMS certified in OB/GYN & Abdomen must become certified within 1 year of appointment.
• Candidates with 1 year or more ultrasound sonographer experience will be considered for appointment to a higher level at a commensurate salary.

Responsibilities

• Operate sonographic equipment independently and perform diagnostic examinations.
• Prepare preliminary reports and communicate results to referring physicians as required.
• Maintain daily log of patients seen; track exams and charges.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure quality patient care and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Organize daily work schedule and report any equipment failures to supervisor.
