Job summary

A leading health system in Manhattan, NY, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform various ultrasound examinations including General Ultrasound. The ideal candidate must hold a valid RDMS certification and have at least one year of experience in the field. Responsibilities include conducting exams, preparing the equipment, and ensuring patient safety during procedures. This is a full-time position with regular working hours from 8:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. Saturday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Sonography or Ultrasound training program.
• Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Valid certification in Sonography from recognized bodies.
• Minimum one year of experience as Ultrasound Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Prepare the examination area and equipment.
• Gather relevant information and ensure exams are documented and images sent to PACS.
• Maintain communication with radiologists and document preliminary reports.
• Ensure patient safety and cleanliness in the work environment.
