Job summary

OU Medical Center Edmond in Edmond, OK is seeking a Diagnostic Sonographer I to perform ultrasound exams in inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting Providers in diagnosis and care. The role welcomes those gaining experience in sonography or seasoned imaging professionals beginning a sonography career.

You'll operate specialized ultrasound equipment, review clinical history, and ensure safety and quality, with potential teaching responsibilities and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited sonography or imaging/radiology program.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging on patients as ordered by a care provider.
• Maintains safety and high quality standards with patient-centric care.
• Prepares patients and reviews history to align with tests.
• Transfers images to the EHR and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Assists with onboarding and teaching of students and new staff.
