Job summary

Drive Medical is seeking a 2nd shift DC Operations Manager in Palmetto, GA to lead day-to-day distribution center operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control and KPI reporting. You will report to the Director of Operations and drive Lean initiatives, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across processes.

The role requires extensive SAP/WMS experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality, cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5 to 10 years related experience.
• Experience in warehouse management and design (slotting, pick paths).
• Experience with customer and vendor engagement.
• Extensive knowledge in SAP or equivalent warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Management of the Quality Management System and ISO certification expectations.
• Provide support and leadership to distribution center staff.
• Develop and improve warehouse processes.
• Strive for continuous improvement following the Lean principles.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Organize and supervise the functions of assigned areas.
• Collaborate to optimize storage space and material flow.
• Ensure stock integrity per Inventory Control rules.
• Develop and implement distribution best practices.
• Engage and drive accountability of direct reporting staff.
• Develop people through training, performance reviews and succession plans.
• Recruitment of personnel for approved positions.
• Drive customer-focused distribution quality and service.
• Report on metrics and ensure targets are met.
• Manage supplier quality and performance.
• Communicate with customer service to improve service and quality.
