Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Computer Operator II to support our US distribution services from Newburgh, NY. This full-time role runs Sunday through Thursday, 1:00pm–8:30pm, with pay starting at $24.38 and potential up to $36.24 via incentives and bonuses.

You will monitor systems, print and distribute reports, manage media, perform backups, and maintain peripherals while ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate's Degree or equivalent training; 1–2 years related experience.
• Effective written and oral communication with strong organizational skills.
• Experience operating AS/400 systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• The Computer Operator II monitors all computer systems, system jobs and devices to support daily data operations.
• Prints, distributes reports to internal and external customers.
• Identifies and resolves system issues quickly, notifying support when needed.
• Handles input/output media such as tapes and diskettes with data integrity in mind.
• Conducts daily system backups and manages tape copies.
• Sets up and operates printers, tape drives and other peripherals; monitors for errors.
• Maintains an organized work area and prepares for overtime as required.
