Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Datacenter Technician to manage daily ops and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. You will install and service cabinets, cross-connects, and telecom equipment while coordinating with vendors as needed.

This role requires hands-on experience with copper/fiber media, testing systems, and network hardware. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in similar facilities, a high school diploma, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including

Qualifications

BICSITechnician Credential Preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar critical facilities.
High School Diploma required.
Low voltage installation & troubleshooting experience a plus.
Fiber optic splicing experience a plus.
Functional knowledge of Inside Plant (ISP) disciplines; fiber optic and electrical cabling.
Strong technical and mechanical background with critical infrastructure exposure.

Responsibilities

Install, provisions, tests, and maintains telecommunications equipment and services.
Perform maintenance of cabinets, equipment, cross-connects, and network infrastructure.
Lead troubleshooting and repairs, provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Document site details for provisioning; maintain power and data center records.
Maintain security procedures and operate in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.
