Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Custodian Lead for the Franklin Accelerated Academy East Campus in Mesa, AZ. The role oversees custodial staff, ensures district standards of cleanliness, and maintains safe school environments.

The position offers full-time hours (40 per week) on the 2nd shift with an additional $0.35/hr shift pay, and a benefits package including retirement, health and life insurance. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, with a base hourly rate of $19.89.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ custodial experience.
• Working knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and cleaning procedures.
• Preferred: High School education or equivalent; record keeping experience; supervisory experience (six months).

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodians assigned to the school.
• Oversee daily cleaning tasks and building operations.
• Maintain payroll records and report to district custodial office.
• Support summer maintenance and special events.
• Ensure safety and facility repairs reporting.
