Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. Responsibilities include daily janitorial tasks, hazardous waste handling, and operating cleaning equipment to support a safe and orderly environment.

As part of the team, you will follow safety rules, report hazards, and work with supervisors and staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require valid driver’s license and safety training certification.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
