Job summary

Davies Career & Technical Highschool seeks a full-time Janitor to perform custodial duties across classrooms, halls and common areas. The role includes cleaning floors, walls, windows, and restrooms, removing trash, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks as needed.

This is a second-shift position with seasonal schedule changes. The ideal candidate follows simple verbal directions and has a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and methods.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of the equipment and methods used in cleaning and custodial work.
• The ability to understand and carry out simple verbal directions.
• Related capacities and abilities.
• Sufficient to follow simple verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• To clean floors, walls, windows, woodwork, furniture and equipment in offices, halls and rooms.
• To collect and dispose of garbage and waste.
• To move or assist in moving furniture and equipment and service water coolers.
• To operate floor scrubbing machines and basic cleaning equipment.
• To perform light repairs or assist maintenance staff as needed.
