The Washington Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth (CDHY) is hiring a Custodian 2 in Vancouver, WA. This full-time, year‑round role runs 4:00pm–12:30am, Monday to Friday, with duties during school closures.

You will clean classrooms, offices and restrooms, vacuum and mop floors, wipe surfaces, empty waste, wash windows, and restock supplies. You must have at least one year of custodial experience, be able to lift 30 lbs, and pass background checks; ability to sign is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional custodial experience.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the campus.
• Must pass state and federal background checks.
• Must be willing to act as a mandated reporter of child abuse.

Responsabilités

• Clean buildings, classrooms, offices and restrooms to established standards.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, wax and polish floors.
• Wipe down furniture, equipment, walls and woodwork.
• Empty wastebaskets and recycling containers.
• Wash windows inside and out.
• Collaborate with custodial crew and staff.
• Move furniture for meetings and events.
• Operate professional cleaning equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor.
• Supply facilities with paper products and soap.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
