Job summary

Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) seeks a custodial professional to perform routine cleaning and maintenance at our Vancouver campus. Under the Custodial Supervisor, you’ll clean buildings, restrooms, floors and windows, stock supplies, and support event setup.

Candidates should be able to lift 15–50 lbs, pass background checks, work a swing shift, and collaborate in a team. WSSB values accessibility, equity and continuous improvement, and offers a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and valid state ID or driver's license.
• Ability to pass a physical examination and FBI background check.
• Experience in custodial or building maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean various buildings, offices, rooms, and other facilities.
• Clean and sanitize showers, restrooms, and supply items.
• Sweep, mop, wax and polish floors; vacuum rugs and furniture.
• Dust furniture and equipment; polish furniture and fixtures.
• Move furniture for events and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Shovel snow and perform emergency cleaning as needed.
