Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking an evening custodial teammate to maintain cleanliness in a federal agency facility. You will perform dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash handling, and floor burnishing while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and readiness to work in a structured environment aligned with GGW values. Training and benefits are provided as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions as directed.
• Decipher and comprehend danger signs and safety rules.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment such as scrubbers and extractors.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to work at the site.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
• Performs cleaning duties such as dusting lights and furniture, dry mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and burnishing floors with a high-speed buffer.
• Cleans and maintains assigned equipment.
