Melwood is seeking a Custodian for a position at the Washington, DC US Courthouse. Core hours are 5:00 pm–10:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The rate of pay is $21.02 per hour, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, pass a background check, and a drug screening.

Qualifikationen

• Six months of custodial/cleaning experience.
• Able to pass security clearance for designated contracts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand the majority of the shift.

Aufgaben

• Sweep and mop hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash.
• Dust horizontal surfaces.
• Empty and wash ashtrays.
• Clean bathrooms.
• Wax and buff floors with prescribed buffers.
• Clean glass and windows.
• Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks.
• Polish kick panels, doorknobs, and other fixtures.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Vacuum rugs.
• Mix cleaning solutions.
• Maintain issued equipment.
• Notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
