South Buffalo Charter School is seeking a part-time custodian for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. The role requires keeping the school clean and safe, performing heavy cleaning, and handling restrooms, floors, and fixtures.

Responsibilities include trash removal, dusting, window care, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Snow removal help may be required and overtime is compensated.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend for long hours; use cleaning equipment.
• Experience with handling cleaning chemicals; painting rooms as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and property clean and orderly.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Scrubs, sanitizes and refills supplies in restroom facilities.
• Dusts furniture, walls and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
• Notifies Supervisor regarding the need for repairs or additions to building.
• Must be willing to help with snow removal when requested (may include mandatory overtime, will be compensated)
