Job summary

South Buffalo Charter School is seeking a part-time custodian for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. The role requires keeping the school clean and safe, performing heavy cleaning, and handling restrooms, floors, and fixtures.

Responsibilities include trash removal, dusting, window care, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Snow removal help may be required and overtime is compensated.

Custodian Duties & Responsibilities:

• Keeps building and property clean and orderly
• Performs heavy cleaning duties
• Gathers and empties trash
• Scrubs, sanitizes and refills supplies in restroom facilities
• Dusts furniture, walls and equipment
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for many hours. Ability to perform repetitive motions for long periods of time. Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and cleaning solutions.
• Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals. Ability to paint rooms/hallways as needed.
• Must have a NYS Driver's License, reliable transportation
• High School Graduate or GED - Reliable transportation is a MUST

Pay Range - PAY RANGE: $16.50 - $18.00/Hour

This is a 3 pm-7 pm or 7 pm - 11 pm work shift.
