Job summary

City of Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Custodial Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily janitorial program across City facilities. You will supervise staff, schedule work, evaluate performance, and oversee contract custodial services to meet standards.

The role is on-site with Monday–Friday afternoon/evening hours and occasional earlier starts. Requires five years of related experience (two in supervision) and CIMS/IEHA certification; valid Minnesota driver’s license is also

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of related experience with two years in supervision.
• CIMS/IEHA certification or equivalent required.
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to coach and train staff to standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and assign custodial work across facilities.
• Manage productivity to meet site-specific productivity goals.
• Assess building needs and select appropriate methods and equipment.
• Oversee internal and contract custodial services and monitor costs.
• Develop and implement training programs for new hires.
• Ensure OSHA and CIMS GB compliance across facilities.
