Duke University Health System is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, assemble, and disinfect reusable medical instruments. You will ensure timely supply flow between the OR and Sterile Processing and maintain accurate logs and clean storage areas.

The role requires CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA) certification. High school diploma or equivalent is required; no experience beyond certification is needed. Work schedule is full-time, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Responsabilidades

• Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, and disinfects scope trays and equipment following established tray lists and manufacturers recommendations.
• Maintains communication with customers and departments regarding requests and delivery of sterile supplies.
• Promotes best practice by demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care.
• Performs duties to maintain unit readiness and support quality initiatives, including equipment checks and department cleanliness.
• Uses the instrument tracking system to document sterilization loads and related tasks.
• Maintains a clean and orderly central processing area and assists with teaching new hires.
