Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Dothan, AL is seeking a Crisis Therapist for evening shifts to provide crisis counseling at the Crisis Center and via Mobile Crisis Teams as needed.

The role requires a master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field, licensure or certification, and at least one year of clinical experience; travel may be required and hours include evenings/nights.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Completed clinical practicum.
• Certification as substance use counselor or willingness to obtain within 30 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in substance use/mental illness.
• Valid Driver License with good MVR.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic services for CSU individuals during assigned shift.
• Triages referrals, conducts assessments, and guides to services.
• Develops and follows individualized service plans and conducts psychotherapy.
• Responds to crisis intervention emergencies at the facility and/or in the community.
• Travel may be required on a Mobile Crisis Team.
• Maintains timely documentation in the EMR system.
