Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC in Bridgeton, NJ, seeks a Registered Nurse for the PT Evening shift (3 pm–11:30 pm) with weekend rotation and a $1.25 shift differential. The role supports inmate patient care using nursing assessment protocols and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality health services.

You will perform assessments, coordinate medications, and maintain documentation while adhering to infection control, OSHA, and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in the state the facility is located (maintain a current copy of license on file at the facility at all times).
• At least one (1) year of RN experience
• Previous correctional health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments of inmate patient in a variety of settings within the institution such as: initial intake area, health care unit for sick, emergency situations on housing units, chronic care clinics, and medical units.
• Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients
• Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, to inmate patients
• Promotes culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting documentation, and prevention.
• Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice.
• Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
• Promotes a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated in a professional, ethical and tactful manner
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
