Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Staff Nurse for a correctional facility in Rahway, NJ. The role focuses on ambulatory care within a correctional health unit, providing direct and indirect nursing care to inmate-patients and collaborating with security officers and healthcare staff.

The nurse demonstrates assessment skills for adults and geriatrics, adheres to nursing protocols, and maintains licensure while pursuing ongoing professional development. Evening and day shifts are available.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
RN License to practice in the State of New Jersey; CPR Certification required; Valid Driver's License required.
Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of one year of experience in a correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing care to inmates to meet physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
Assess health of adults (18–64) and geriatrics (65+) and identify nursing objectives.
Lead nursing team as assigned and adhere to correctional security regulations.
Maintain licensure and pursue continued professional development.
