NaphCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Elmore Correctional Facility in Alabama. Working in a secure, inmate healthcare setting, you will perform assessments, administer medications, and support chronic disease management.

This full-time evening shift (3p-11:30p) offers training opportunities for new grads and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support professional growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an LPN program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Actively state-certified as an LPN or LVN.
• BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse patients, including those with mental health or substance issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and code of conduct.
• Pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Perform patient assessments and document health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes.
• Administer medications, including injections and monitor reactions.
• Maintain medical records in the electronic health record (TechCare).
• Observe patient and mental health status and provide emergency first aid.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
