Job summary

Country Manor in Minnesota is seeking a Part-Time Cook/Team Lead for the 4PM–8PM shift, approx 32–40 hours per pay period. You will lead and collaborate to ensure daily food production for residents, following recipes and maintaining quality standards.

The role emphasizes menu variety, texture adjustments for residents, and supervising meal service, sanitation, and inventory. Benefits include insurance, PTO, and a 401(k); weekend and holiday coverage required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience in long-term care or large-scale food production.
• Ability to cook independently for approximately 200 residents daily.
• Flexible to work a variety of duties depending on situational needs.
• Function as a team member with leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and ensure meals are ready at serving times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve supper meals.
• Food prep/cooking/baking with following detailed recipes.
• Handle ingredients including pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fruits and vegetables.
• Take/log proper temperature checks.
• Plating/panning of desserts and other foods.
• Monitor sanitation practices and quality control.
• Organize storage and assist with inventory and ordering.
• Prepare special textures for residents.
• Instruct/monitor equipment use and cleaning.
• Supervise meal service and delivery of carts.
• Supervise cleaning procedures.
• Assist with special events.
• Communicate attendance/staffing concerns to Director of Culinary.
